Some of My Wedding Inspiration!

So it's been a little over a year since Dave Proposed to me. We decided to discuss a date after Dave is finished college this year.... but that doesn't keep a busy girl from planning when she gets a few moments. I've been back and forth between my two favorite color combinations - a bold Red, White, and Black or dusty Blue, Pink, and cream.

I think I just about died when I saw this dress... and then saw the price -.-

Originally when I started looking for wedding dress inspirations, this was the dress I had saved so when I saw that one I was like O_O!!! My mom pointed it out in one of the pile of wedding magazine's she's bought me and I think I jumped out of my seat to find out how much it is >_>

I also love classic lace gowns - Sweetheart necklines with a mermaid silhouette.
When I first started looking at dresses, the Provonias Finisterre is the dress that caught my attention.

But I also seem to be falling for a ton of other Provonias gowns =X

Next when I got frustrated that the only local place I could find with a beautiful hedge garden is Longwood Gardens in Delaware (and they don't do weddings), I went googling and I found this beautiful little spot in Hawaii! (Although Hawaii destination weddings are wayyyy to commercialized for my taste =X)

And of course Longwood Gardens... Isn't it sad they don't do weddings >_

And of course a couple details that I absolutely love!

Don't remember where I found these images x_x?

And of course more lace because I adore it.

But then again,
How freakin' beautiful is this collage?
Again, I don't remember where I found it >_<

Susan Coffey - A fantasy photo tale

Susan Coffey came to my studio with her adorable dog for a full day of Fantasy and Fairytale. This beautiful redhead has captivated viewers since the day I posted the top headshot with her piercing eyes.

Mariluz West http://www.mariluzwest.com did the makeup for this shoot and Scarlet Fairy Designs http://www.etsy.com/shop/scarletfairy provided wardrobe for the belly dance shoot! (I actually sewed the top and skirt for this piece! /proud me =D )

Storms & Reading

This past week has been kind of crazy with that storm that came though. Apparently there is a name for it! A Derecho. (It sounded more like a twister than anything to me). They even made a wiki article!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_2012_North_American_derecho

We lost power for a little over three days in the blistering heat. Many others lost power for much longer. Dave counted about 14 trees down around our house. At my best friend's house they stopped counting at 50. My mom's house/the studio next door didn't even bother to count trees since we are in the woods.

This was outside my master bathroom window/the kitchen. Was pretty incredible to see when the lightning flashed in the middle of the night. I left my camera at the studio and really need a wide angle to really show the damage, so I've slacked on documenting everything.

Good news, I had plenty of guilt free time to catch up on my reading! I finished the last two books in the Hunger Games (Loved it!) and read Beastly.

Hunger Games... Where do I start... I guess I don't without spoilers. It's not the type of book I normally read, but everyone kept raving about it. When the movie came out I decided I refused to watch it until I read the books. I am so glad I did. It was incredible! It's one of the best book series I've read this year. I gave the first two books 5 stars and the last book 4 stars.

Beastly on the other hand was way better in book form than the movie. It was cute and kept my attention. I bought the deluxe edition with Lyndi's story. (I'm a sucker for pretty book covers.) The movie was terrible... The book actually seemed like a real Beauty and the Beast retelling. I'd give it a 3.5 (I liked it and it was cute and a very fast read, but not amazing. Maybe it's because I read it immediately after Hunger Games.)

For credit, I took the above book covers from Goodreads.com.
I think next up on my reading shelf is "Magic Kingdom For Sale/Sold."
My dad had a first edition book, so I had to take this cover from the Wikipedia article about the book.
I've read about 58 pages so far. I read that it's a slow start, but once you hit page 60 it speeds up into a fun story. My dad highly recommends it - so we'll see soon as I find time to read again! (Hopefully not because of another storm!!!)

Things that have amused me lately - Cats

So what has kept me amused on the interwebs lately =D?

This blog post will be about cats!

I had to start with the Tardis for cats. I'm big fan of Dr. Who. My dad watched the original series and sucked me right in. When I saw this floating around on facebook I had to repost. I want one! Who wants to make me a real one so I can fit 6 cats o.o?

Love Dr. Who? Check out the link below for more of the Tardis Cat Fort!
